The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Another recommendation from #FridayReads on Twitter, I wasn’t sure I was going to like The Help at first.  But after a chapter I found I could not put it down.  This was one I actually stayed up late reading, even to the extent that I logged out of Everquest II early so that I could finish it up.  I really needed to know how these women’s stories turned out — they were that real to me.  I especially felt for Celia, who was not exactly a protagonist.  We never hear her internal voice as we do the three main characters, but she felt very real to me.  I realize this book got both good and bad reviews, but I enjoyed it.
